You say to me,
Your brain is broken.
It’s like an adult’s brain that doesn’t work properly yet..
Don’t worry, you say. One day you’ll be ok. One day you’ll be just like me.
I don’t say anything. I pick up my plate, put it in the kitchen and go upstairs.
A fearless company of young people explore the workings of the teenage brain in Islington Community Theatre's BRAINSTORM. Created with leading cognitive neuroscientist, Professor Sarah-Jayne Blakemore, BRAINSTORM is a thrilling exploration of the most frustrating, chaotic and exhilarating changes that will ever happen to us.
At the Islington Community Theatre, we train and support an ensemble of theatre-makers aged 11-19 who are referred to us by teachers, youth workers and social workers as someone who will benefit from long-term involvement in our work.
We're massively excited to announce our new show, Brainstorm, which runs at the Park Theatre 8-11 Jan 2015. Created by ten young people in collaboration with leading cognitive neuroscientist Brainstorm explores the most frustrating, chaotic and exhilarating changes that will ever happen to us.
As an incentive to book we're offering tickets for just £8 (usually £12) if purchased before midnight, Sun 16 Nov. Simply type the code "EarlyBird" on the discounts page. I can promise that every penny raised through ticket sales goes straight back into supporting more young people to become brave, resilient and compassionate theatre-makers.
