Breakin’ Convention Television (BCTV) is on the lookout for innovative young filmmakers! Based in Sadler’s Wells Theatre, Breakin’ Convention works with hip-hop artists from across the world to bring to light performances, projects and an array of events. Beginning next year, BCTV hopes to launch a video channel to document Breakin’ Convention’s work. This means covering events and performances as well as filming documentaries and other videos.

Sound like an exciting opportunity? If you’re interested in making film as well as the art of hip-hop you could potentially be selected to attend the Breakin’ Convention Local Film-Makers Day in London where you’ll learn more, hone your skills, gain experience and meet industry specialists. If you’re based in Birmingham, Blackpool, Bournemouth, Brighton, Bristol, Doncaster, Inverness, Kings Lynn, London or Whitley Bay you can apply and if chosen a mentor will visit your hometown to discuss ideas and techniques. You will then be required to make 2 short films documenting the Breakin’ Convention International Festival of Hip Hop Dance Theatre as it comes to your city.

So take your chance and complete an application form available on the website by 8 November.
