The Victoria & Albert Museum are hosting a FREE special event this coming Wednesday 11 December. Sophia George leads the Heroes & Villains life drawing session in the V&A’s Sackler Centre.

Join the games designer in residence, Sophia George to explore how life drawing plays a big part in digital games design. Draw a model as a hero, a villain, and then a fictional character of your choice. Sophia George, BAFTA winner and Chair of Swallowtail Games, has been appointed as its first ever Games Designer in Residence. At just 22, Sophia is already an accomplished game designer, winning the 2012 BAFTA Ones to Watch Award for the prototype of Tick Tock Toys, a family-friendly puzzle game for iPhone and iPad. Following her BAFTA win, she completed Tick Tock Toys and released it to international acclaim. The game received promotional features on Apple’s App Store in over 40 countries worldwide.

The event is being hosted in collaboration with London Drawing. London Drawing is an organisation that aims to re-invent life drawing and drawing in an environment suitable for all levels of ability, designed to encourage confidence and inspire. They stage regular and one off workshops and sessions all around London.

Admission to the life drawing session is FREE but is allocated on a first come, first serve basis, so make sure you get there early. Each session lasts 45 minutes and runs from 1:15pm, 2:15pm, 3:15pm.
